Traffic police traced the vehicle through its number plate after pictures went viral. The car was found in Thatipur, and officials said the decoration violated vehicle rules. The man was fined and asked to clean the car.

A video of the incident is circulating on social media, showing the man cleaning the lipstick marks off his car himself.

According to information, Gwalior resident Aditya Sikarwar became part of the trend when his girlfriend decided to decorate his car with kiss-shaped lipstick marks.
She reportedly spent nearly four hours covering almost every visible part of the vehicle.
The doors, bonnet, boot, pillars and other parts of the car were covered with around 3,400 lipstick marks, making the vehicle stand out on the road.
Viral Photo Helped Police Trace Car
The pictures of the decorated car were widely shared on social media. However, the viral post also reached Gwalior traffic police.
Police noticed the number plate in the pictures and used it to identify and trace the vehicle. The car was later found in the Thatipur area of Gwalior.
Officials said covering the vehicle so heavily with another material changed its original appearance and was not allowed under motor vehicle rules and road-safety regulations.
Sikarwar was called by the police and reportedly accepted that the car had been decorated in this manner.
₹5,500 Fine & Car Wash
Police imposed a ₹5,500 fine on the owner. The action did not end with the fine, as officers also made sure that the car was cleaned.
The vehicle was washed in the presence of the police, with the lipstick marks removed from its body.
What began as a fun attempt to follow a viral trend therefore ended with a fine and a compulsory car wash.
The incident has also drawn attention to how social media trends involving vehicles can create problems.
