Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): A sea of devotees have gathered at Bageshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district to celebrate renowned storyteller Dhirendra Krishna Shastri's birthday on Thursday (July 4).
Known for his strong advocacy of Sanatan Dharma, Shastri is receiving heartfelt wishes from followers who consider him not just a saint, but a guiding light in their lives.
The Bageshwar Dham premises have been beautifully decorated for the occasion, with arrangements also underway for the upcoming Guru Purnima celebrations.
One brick, instead of expensive gifts
Bageshwar Baba urged his devotees to gift him a brick instead of expensive gifts on his birth anniversary.
“Don't bring gifts - contribute a brick for the hospital so we can give life and hope to the needy,” he said, emphasising service over celebration.
A single donated brick would be contributed in the noble cause of construction of a cancer hospital.
He emphasised that collective efforts for a good cause can bring in major changes.

Following the tragic incident on July 3, where a roof collapsed amidst heavy rain, which claimed a life and injured several devotees. The cultural events have been postponed.
The deceased was identified as Lala Shyamlal Kaushal who. Others, including women and children were injured and taken to Chhatarpur's District Hospital. Those who got injured were Soumya, Parul, Unnati, Aryan, and Kamla. The group of devotees came from Ayodhya to participate in Baba's birthday anniversary event.

The temple premises have been adorned with modern decorations. Lakhs of people coming to Bageshwar Dham on the occasion of Baba's Janmotsav will get preparations pure ghee-prasad.
Dishes including, Matar Paneer, Kaddu ki Sabzi, Chole, Pulao, Sooji Halwa and Kheer will be served to all the attendees.
