Bhopal News: Bhopal Metro Orange Line Now Operates Only Midday; Trips Reduced To 9
Starting April 3, Bhopal Metro Orange Line will operate from 11 AM to 4:30 PM with 9 trips daily instead of 13. Ongoing signal work between AIIMS and Subhash Nagar limits trains to one track, causing a 75-minute frequency. Key stops include DB Mall, DRM Office, and MP Nagar. Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal Metro is scheduled to operate from 11 am to 4:30 pm starting April 3, as per the new schedule released by the Metro Corporation.
The daily trips have also been reduced from 13 to 9 daily.
This is the 3rd time in 100 days that the schedule has been changed.
The management said signal work has begun on the priority corridor between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS.
This is the first phase of an 800-crore tender covering about 30 km. Due to the absence of a complete signaling system, trains are running on only one track, resulting in a 75-minute frequency and longer waiting times for passengers.
The Orange Line’s priority corridor will be affected by this work. However, the management has not clarified how long the signaling work will continue or when normal timings will resume.
