Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): District and Sessions Court, Bhopal convicted two of the three PUBG playmates awarding them 20 years of rigorous Imprisonment (RI) in gang rape of minor girl on Friday. As the third one is minor, the case is pending in juvenile court.
ADJ Kumudini Patel passed the order. Those who have been convicted include Farhan and Rizwan. Rs 8 lakh fine has also been imposed for the welfare and care of victim.
According to Public Prosecutor Divya Shukla, Class VI student in Bhopal was allegedly raped and blackmailed by a group of three boys who befriended her while playing PUBG. After rape, the three PUBG playmates also blackmailed the girl and threatened to upload her objectionable videos online if she resisted or protested.

A complaint filed by the girl's family said that the three accused are residents of Rambha Nagar area in Bhopal and are in the age group of 18-19 years. The third one was a minor. The three of them became friends with the minor girl online while playing PUBG.
The incident took place in September 2020 when the three lured the victim and asked her to come to Rambha Nagar. They then raped the girl and also made an objectionable video. The group then allegedly blackmailed the girl, saying they would upload her video online if she spurned their advances and raped her repeatedly.
A case was registered against them under Sections 376 (2N) (raping repeatedly), 376 (DA) (gang rape of a girl under 16 years of age) of IPC and 506 (criminal intimidation) and provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and I-T Act.
