Amid the ongoing test series between India and England, PM Modi used a cricketing metaphor to describe the partnership between India and the UK.

After signing the much-awaited India-UK free trade agreement (FTA), Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said India and the UK were united in the fight against terrorism and thanked British counterpart Keir Starmer for condemning the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 civilians were shot dead by Pakistan-based terrorists.
Addressing a joint press conference with UK PM Keir Starmer, PM Modi said, "We express our gratitude to Prime Minister Starmer and his government for the strong condemnation of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. We are united in our view that there is no place for double standards in the fight against terrorism."
"Those who misuse democratic freedoms to undermine democracy itself must be held to account," PM Modi asserted.
