Remarks on Khamenei and military leadership

Trump said Iran's "formerly supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, is dead," calling him a "wretched and vile man" who had "the blood of hundreds and even thousands of Americans on his hands."

He further claimed that celebrations were reported across Iran following the announcement of Khamenei's death.

"Last night, all over Iran, the voices of the Iranian people could be heard cheering and celebrating in the streets when his death was announced," Trump said.
