Quetta: Pakistan Army Military Intelligence officer, Major Anwar Kakar, was reportedly killed in a powerful blast in Quetta. CCTV footage of the explosion has surfaced. The video shows a motorbike approaching the car on the main road and possibly throwing a hand grenade at it, leading to an explosion. A black cloud of smoke formed instantly, momentarily blocking visibility.

BLA Takes Responsiblity

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for the blast. Pakistani media has reported that law enforcement officials have confirmed initial forensic evidence points to an improvised explosive device (IED) planted inside the car. Further probe is underway to determine the exact nature of the explosive and to identify any potential suspects behind the attack.

Emergency services reportedly rushed to the scene, while security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a detailed probe into the blast.
