The picture was taken by Brandon Copic, who is also a storm chaser and friend of the couple. As soon as he posted the picture on social media platform X, it grabbed worldwide attention. The post now has more than 17 millions views.
According to the report by PEOPLE, Bryce Shelton and Paige Berdomas are two longtime online friends with a passion for weather. "We became friends in the weather Twittersphere a couple of years ago," Berdomas told PEOPLE. "We got to know each other online and were really good friends. After other relationships we were each in ended, we became even closer. Last June, we decided to meet up for the first time to go on a storm chase."
Paige Berdomas shared on twitter, "How on earth could this day ever be topped. Experienced this in South Dakota with the love of my life and now FIANCE as he proposed in the most epic way imaginable. Cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you @BryceShelton01"
Paige also reacted on grabbing worldwide media attention, wrote, "Just wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been so kind and supportive to us. We had no idea that our photo would get so much media attention. I have a few other things that I have to get finished this week but will be working on a YouTube video about our proposal and the tornadoes surrounding it. It has been a heck of a whirlwind."
