The footage carried the timestamp of January 31 and suggested the incident took place at 9.34 AM. It showed a man dressed in a grey T-shirt and black track pants walking past Lim's flat and stopping by her laundry. He is seen standing next to the dress put out for drying, followed by stealing her underwear and tucking it inside his pants.
While he initially walked away with the undergarment, he soon realised there was a CCTV camera around. He returned hesitatingly and placed the lingerie back on the rack. He left with his head lowered in shame.
Lim described the man as a “pervert" and informed netizens that she had noticed his behaviour previously as well. She pointed out she installed the CCTV camera to track and identify the culprit as this wasn't the first time such an incident had occurred.
