Shocking! Bengaluru Doctor Drags, Kicks Her Elderly In-Laws With Daughter & Son; Police Register Case (VIDEO)

Bengaluru: A shocking video emerged from Karnataka, wherein a Bengaluru-based doctor, along with her children can be seen assaulting her elderly in-laws. The viral clip has triggering widespread outrage on social media, with calls for strict action against the woman.

As per a report by The Times of India, a case has been lodged against the woman, identified as Priyadarshini N, at the Annapoorneshwari Nagar police station, after the elderly couple accused her of physical assault and harassment.

What Did the In-Laws Allege?

According to the complaint filed by her father-in-law, J Narasimaiah, Priyadarshini, along with her son and daughter, visited their home on March 10 at around 8:30 PM, and allegedly subjected him, his wife, and his son, Naveen Kumar, to physical and verbal abuse.

Narasimaiah alleged that Priyadarshini also issued death threats during the confrontation. The police have registered a case against her under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges of voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful restraint, criminal intimidation, and intentional insult with the intent to provoke a breach of peace.

Narasimaiah informed the police that his son married Priyadarshini in 2007 but had filed for a divorce soon after.

Priyadarshini Claimed She Was Provoked By Her In-Laws

Priyadarshini, on the other hand, claimed that she was provoked by her in-laws, before the verbal argument turned into a physical altercation. According to her statement, she had visited her husband's house to confront him about his failure in providing financial assistance for their children. She stated that when tensions escalated and she and her children lost patience, and their reaction was recorded on video.

The police are currently investigating claims from both sides, including the viral video which surfaced on social media.

Social Media User Alleges Long-Standing Harassment Against Elderly Couple

A News 18 report cited a social media post which claimed that the doctor's 80-year-old father-in-law, a heart patient, was kicked and stamped on, while her mother-in-law, a cancer survivor, was dragged by her mangalsutra for over five minutes. The post also alleged that the in-laws had been living separately for over a decade due to mistreatment by Priyadarshini, who violated a court order by forcibly entering their rented home and assaulting them.

The viral video purportedly shows Priyadarshini shouting, dragging her mother-in-law by the hair, and her daughter kicking the elderly couple. Online posts also suggest a history of harassment by Priyadarshini toward her in-laws. However, she has not yet responded to the allegations.
