Over 10 Snakes Spotted In Nest-Like Formation In UP's Maharajganj; Chilling Video Goes Viral

A chilling video showing snakes' nest is doing the rounds on social media. It reportedly surfaces from the Hardidali village of Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. More than ten snakes coiled together in the basement of a house. The sight left locals feared.
According to local news media, Bharat Samachar, dozens of snakes were found in a nest-like formation in the basement. Villagers immediately informed the police and the forest department to look into the matter and bring in safety arrangements.
The video posted by the media outlet on X captured the snakes' nest in the dark. The reptiles were seen gently moving without parting ways. They were seen nesting in a damp, dark corner, with visuals showing several of them coiled together.

The state is not uncommon to snake sightings and lethal encounters.
Last month, a rare long-snouted vine snake was found in Lakhimpur-Kheri district, about 125 kilometres from the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve Division.
In another case, a rather shocking one, a UP man died after wrapping a snake around his neck and getting bitten by it. He succumbed to the venom while allegedly playing at his house in Shahjahanpur's Banda area.
Meanwhile, a Meerut man was attacked about 10 times overnight by a cobra that slithered into his house in the Akbarpur Sadat village. The snake reportedly stayed coiled under his dead body and continued to bite it.
