Ex-NASA Researcher Faces Harsh Rejection, Gets Berated For Applying For Job At Recruiting Company
She identified himself as an ex-NASA researcher who was seeking a job and wrote, "Recruiter sent me a message berating me for applying". The company was looking for someone with an experience in engineering, which she ideally didn't match. This made the employer write back to her and question her invalid application.

Here's what the recruiter said
"Did you read the position description? Only apply to positions that may be a match for your background/experience. To do otherwise is an extreme waste of everyone's time, especially the recruiter or hiring manager's time, as this all too often happens," the company said.
Without disclosing the recruiter's identity, she posted a screenshot of the message on social media and termed it a "rude and cruel" reply.
She pointed out that she was aware of the job requirements and was ready to perform.
"Every actual listed qualification was seeking someone with experience or market awareness in manufacturing/fabrication, mechanical interfaces, ability to read engineering blueprints, and proficiency with CRM and Excel", she wrote.
"I have a MS in a stem field and have worked in a variety of roles including IT, data analysis, optical engineering, manufacturing, semiconductor fab, metrology, and as a physics researcher at NASA. I figured it just doesn’t hurt to apply", she added.
