Bengaluru Man 'Furious' After Auto Driver Scrolls Through Telugu Actress Sreeleela's Instagram Profile Mid-Ride, Vents on Reddit

Bengaluru: A Reddit user claiming to be from Bengaluru has shared how he was left “furious and helpless" after his auto driver slowed down mid-ride to scroll through an actress’s Instagram profile in a moving vehicle.

"Can’t they keep their phones down while driving?" the user wrote on the r/Bangalore subreddit.

"I had booked an auto through Uber because I needed to reach my office in 20 minutes for an important call. The office is usually just a 10-minute ride from my place, so I figured I'd comfortably make it on time," the post read.

Sharing further, he said: "As soon as I got into the auto, the driver briefly glanced at the map and then minimised it. I assumed he was familiar with the route. But to my surprise, he immediately opened Instagram and started scrolling — while driving with one hand."

The user claimed that the worst part was when the driver came across a post by Telugu actress Sreeleela, he slowed down the vehicle and began browsing through her profile — all while the user had to reach on time.

"What made it worse was that he came across a post by Sreeleela (actor), and instead of just moving on, he actually slowed down the auto right in the middle of the main road to open her profile and scroll through her feed. I was furious and felt completely helpless. The ride had just begun, and I could already feel the minutes slipping away," the user wrote.

The post, which was published nine hours ago, has since gone viral and sparked reactions from users on Reddit. One user commented, "Shouldn’t the auto drivers be on flight mode?"Another user questioned oP, "Why did you feel helpless? Did you ask him to hurry and tell him you had someplace to be early or not?"

A third user said,"That sounds so frustrating! Slowing down in the middle of the road to check out a celebrity’s profile is just reckless."
