CM Yogi Adityanath In Raebareli Says UP Moving Towards Heritage-Led Development Under PM Modi | X
Lucknow, August 24: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath leveled serious allegations against the Congress from Raebareli. He said, "The Congress divided the country and society, strangled the Constitution and then, by following a policy of appeasement, sought to weaken India's social unity with the help of foreign money."
He appealed to the people of Uttar Pradesh and the country to remain alert and cautious of such forces and strengthen the campaign of heritage and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He strongly targeted Raebareli MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress state president Ajay Rai.
On Monday, at an event held at the Firoz Gandhi Degree College ground, the Chief Minister gifted 346 development projects worth ₹879 crore to Raebareli, Bachhrawan and Harchandpur assembly constituencies ahead of Raksha Bandhan. The CM said that he had begun the Raksha Bandhan celebrations with the cooks and would announce a new scheme for mothers on August 26.
CM informed, "Raebareli has now changed. Earlier, people called it a VIP district and parliamentary constituency. Still, in the name of being VIP, the region suffered from neglect, disorder and deprivation, while people experiencing poverty were deprived of the benefits of government schemes. Former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi had expressed anguish that out of every rupee he sent, only 15 paise reached the ground."
He said, it was the SP and Congress people who consumed the remaining 85 paise. We have, in 9 years, provided houses and toilets for people experiencing poverty and laid a network of roads.
The CM stated, "Development would fulfill the aspirations of youth, bring prosperity to farmers, and provide respect to artisans and handicraft workers, while supporting the elderly in their old age. Development has been progressing faster since Raebareli elected our legislators. The Modern Coach Factory in Raebareli was established in 2012."
He said, "It was gradually declining until 2014, just like development under the Congress, but today the factory has become an identity of Raebareli. Last year, the factory produced a record 2,156 coaches. For the first time, the rollout of a Vande Bharat train shed also took place here in May 2026. Raebareli's name is now being taken with pride across the country."
The CM strongly targeted Raebareli MP Rahul Gandhi, saying that he was provoking the youth while also insulting India's heritage. He said the Congress state president had crossed all limits and exposed the party's real values.
Referring to a recent visit to Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya, he said, "On Tuesday, Hindus observe a fast. They pray, 'Bal buddhi vidya dehu mohi, harahu kalesh vikar.' We are devotees of Bajrang Bali, but everyone must have seen the conduct of the 'devotees of Babri' yesterday. They visit Hanumangarhi and then go to their office and feast on fish. These are people who have Ram on their lips and a knife under their arm. These were the people who used to say that Ram and Krishna never existed. Now they cannot digest the Ram temple."
Taking Rahul Gandhi's name, the CM stated, "You may believe in Manusmriti or not, but do not state incorrect facts. You tell daughters to come out of Manusmriti. The Manu whose glory is praised in the Atharvaveda, Shatapatha Brahmana, Mahabharata and Matsya Purana - why do you insult him?"
The CM said the calendar system followed by every Sanatani was not given by Rahul Gandhi's maternal grandfather, great-grandfather, or grandmother, but by Manu. He explained that the blink of an eye is called a nimesha, 25 nimeshas make one kastha, 30 kasthas make one kala, 30 kalas make one muhurta, and 30 muhurtas make an ahoratra, or a complete day and night. 15 ahoratras constitute a paksha; 2 pakshas, Krishna and Shukla, make a month; 6 months make an ayana; and 2 ayanas make a year.
He stated, "When the Sun enters Uttarayana, Makar Sankranti is observed, and Magh Mela is held in Prayagraj. Bhishma Pitamah endured pain on the bed of arrows but waited for Uttarayana to arrive before giving up his life. A Mahayuga is considered to comprise 43.2 lakh years; 31 Mahayugas constitute a Manvantara, and 14 Manvantaras constitute a Kalpa. Sanatanis follow this system while observing their festivals."
The CM said, Raebareli and Amethi had been a means of securing a vote bank for Rahul Gandhi. He criticizes Uttar Pradesh outside the state and India outside the country. He puts soldiers in the dock and misleads the youth, but the youth will not be misled.
The CM referred to the girl at Jantar Mantar who made an objectionable remark against the Prime Minister and said she and her parents apologized within a week.
He said, "Your values may not align with India's traditions, but you should not play with the present generation. You should instead set an example through the conduct expected of a responsible leader."
The CM said Congress and party-imposed leaders had represented Rae Bareli and Amethi for the longest period, but they did not honor the heroes of India's freedom struggle. Congress and the SP, he said, respect only their families. "Every goon in the state, district, region or town finds himself ideologically close to the Samajwadi Party."
The CM said a statement had come from 'Babua', who claimed that the SP had not split because 5 MPs belonged to his family. The CM said they did not consider their remaining MPs capable of anything.
He called them 'traders of votes' and said they had turned Uttar Pradesh into a state of unrest. At that time, electricity was available for 3 hours a day, alternating between day and night for a week at a time. The 'Saifai syndicate' controlled electricity, rations, jobs, and development schemes. In the new Uttar Pradesh, anyone who compromises the safety of daughters and traders will either go to jail or 'jahannum'.
The CM stated, "16 crore people in the state are now receiving free ration. Earlier, Congress and SP people used to consume this ration, he alleged. 10 crore people have health insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh. Sons and daughters across Rae Bareli and all districts of the state are now getting jobs."
He said the government had built a memorial in the name of Rana Beni Madhav Baksh Singh and renamed a government polytechnic in Salon after former MLA late Dal Bahadur Kori. Now, a grand memorial and statue of Veera Pasi will also be built.
The CM praised Manoj Pandey and said that during a legislative assembly session, the SP and Congress had proposed that since BJP members had visited Ayodhya, they too wanted to go. They had told the Assembly Speaker that all members should be taken to Ayodhya to have darshan of Lord Ram.
He said, "When the government decides, all legislators will be taken there. Once the plan was made, the SP said it would not go, but Manoj Pandey stated that although there could be political differences at the party level, Ram was their revered deity. He broke SP's restrictions and went to Ayodhya."
The CM said he paid the price for expressing his devotion to Lord Ram, after which SP president Akhilesh Yadav expelled him from the party. We invited him, and he decided to continue his political journey with the BJP. Whoever belongs to Ram belongs to us. Whoever does not belong to Ram is of no use to us.
He informed, "Before 2017, people from other states and parts of the country would say, you are from the same Uttar Pradesh where riots and curfews used to occur. Today, people embrace each other. Seeing the image of Lord Ram with someone and seeing their face light up upon meeting them was the greatest respect."
He said Congress had not provided as many houses and toilets in 50 years as his government had provided across Uttar Pradesh and Raebareli in 9 years. The government had also provided jobs to the youth.
The CM also spoke about the contribution of the nomadic Sapera community and said, "His government had established a Nomadic Development Board. Land leases and housing approvals have also been provided to members of the Sapera community. A good government delivers good work and referred to the recent measures announced for Shiksha Mitras, instructors and cooks."
He alleged that during the SP government, SP goons would consume the mid-day meals meant for children, leaving nothing for them.
The CM said the Congress was distressed that the Ram temple had been built in Ayodhya, while the SP was distressed that the resolve of those Ram devotees who had been fired upon had been fulfilled.
He said villages had taken a resolve that when Lord Ram was once again installed in Ayodhya, they would wear turbans on their heads and slippers on their feet.
The CM further informed, "The SP and Congress were once again insulting Ayodhya, India's heritage and its great personalities. They did not like Uttar Pradesh's rapid progress. AIIMS is also functioning in Raebareli. The double-engine government's work is giving Raebareli a new identity. Congress had established one AIIMS, Atal Ji established 7, and Prime Minister Modi had taken the number to 23."
The CM alleged that Congress, the SP and their allies were trying to undermine India's security and the identity of the country and the state.
Khadi and Village Industries Minister Rakesh Sachan, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Manoj Pandey, Horticulture Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh, MLA Aditi Singh, Ashok Kori, Legislative Council members Umesh Dwivedi and Avnish Singh, District Panchayat Administrator Ranjana Chaudhary, BJP district president Buddhi Lal Pasi, Apna Dal district president Satyendra Patel, former MLAs Rakesh Singh, Ramlal Akela and Rajaram Tyagi, former MLC Rakesh Pratap Singh, Dhirendra Bahadur Singh and others were present on the occasion.
