CBSE class 10 Term 1 result announced, grade sheet available with the schools
Meanwhile, The exam schedule for Term 2 has been released, and the exams will commence from April 26. The board has also stated that the examination centres for the Term 2 exams will not change. They will have to appear at the same centres previously assigned to them.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the Class 10 term 1 results on March 12, 2022. However, instead of being available on official websites, the results are only available with the respective schools. Students can collect their term 1-grade sheets from their respective schools.
As the Board has informed schools about its students' Class 10 ‘theory performance’ collectively, individual students' performance will not be available on the website and will be available with the schools only. Schools, on the other hand, can share students' performance including internal assessment, once the score is counted.
Overall Mumbai schools are satisfied with the Term-1 results even though the classes were held online for almost a year. "The results are quite satisfactory. Children have done their best. I'm glad even in online teaching and offline exams children have performed exceedingly well. 25% of our children have scored above 90%. Our assessment pattern in the lower grades has been similar to the term I pattern and so our children have been used to the attempt of thinking-based and application-based questions. They were able to comprehend and score well," said Dr Kavita Nagpal, Principal, Orchids The International School, Masjid Bunder, Mumbai.
The board has also given a chance to students who could not appear for their Term-1 Board exams, stating in its official circular, "the students who have missed their Term- I exams due to COVID or because they participated in National/International Sports/Olympiads, etc., no performance of Term-I examinations is being communicated. However, their final performance will be assessed based on performance in Term-II examinations."
Meanwhile, The exam schedule for Term 2 has been released, and the exams will commence from April 26. The board has also stated that the examination centres for the Term 2 exams will not change. They will have to appear at the same centres previously assigned to them.
The official circular from the Board further states, "Only after the Term-2 examinations, results of Class 10 be announced, and candidates will be placed in the Essential Repeat/Compartment/Pass category,"
