Despite that, the 38-year-old cricketer didn't fail to garner cheer from the fans in a cinema hall as a video of the same emerged on social media.

In what was an unexpected crossover, the fan-created edit featured visuals of Rohit and the Tollywood actor as it was created to pay tribute to Mahesh Babu on account of his 50th birthday. The video played on the massive screen had visuals of Rohit celebrating one of his many centuries at top-level cricket, lifting the T20 World Cup in 2024 and the Champions Trophy this year. The video also carried lines for "Two icons from two different worlds" and "Trendsetters in their respective fields."
