There seems to be no end to Prithvi Shaw's bad times after the Mumbai opener was dropped from Vijay Hazare Trophy Squad. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) named the 17-member squad for the first three matches on Tuesday, but Shaw has not been included. Shreyas to lead Mumbai in Vijay Hazare Trophy
After winning the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Shreyas Iyer has his eyes set on Vijay Hazare Trophy. Iyer will continue to lead the team in first three matches of the tournament. While Shaw did not find place in the team, Ajinkya Rahane will not play the tournament and has asked the MCA for a break due to personal reasons. Mumbai are placed in Group C of the Vijay Hazare Trophy alongside Nagaland, Hyderabad, Saurashtra, Punjab, Puducherry, Arunachal Pradesh and Karnataka. Mumbai will open their campaign against Karnataka on December 21 at the Narendra Modi Stadium B Ground in Ahmedabad.
