Sportvot x FPJ: Vivan Shah Wins Player Of The Day In All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament

The All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament was held on the 6th and 7th of August at the Goregaon Sports Club, drawing top young talents from across the country. With matches running simultaneously across two courts, the tournament delivered back-to-back excitement in both singles and doubles categories.

All the matches were contested in the under-13 age category, providing a glimpse into the remarkable skill, discipline, and competitive spirit of India's next generation of badminton stars.

In the singles category, Anya delivered a commanding performance, defeating Bitama with a score of 2 (21) vs 0 (16) to emerge as the winner. The clash between Saran’s and Pratham ended in a hard-fought tie, with both players securing 1 set each (18 vs 21). However, based on point dominance, Pratham was declared the winner.

In the doubles section, the duo of Srivaibhavi & Anya outplayed Diya & Aabha, securing a win with 2 (21) vs 1 (16) to claim victory. On the other court, Yaiphaba & Yang displayed excellent coordination and strategy to defeat Rohan & Ishan by 2 (21) vs 1 (13), thus being crowned the winners of their match.

The tournament not only highlighted the depth of talent at the sub-junior level but also delivered a glimpse of the future stars of Indian badminton. The highlight of the tournament was the exceptional performance of Vivaan Shah, who was named the Player of the Day in the Under-13 Boys category for his outstanding gameplay, consistency, and sportsmanship throughout the event.
