Team India captain Rohit Sharma is often an animated character on the field and many of his stump mic comments caught attention during the Test series against England earlier this year. A similar instance happened on day 2 of the opening Test against Bangladesh in Chennai as he was heard yelling at his players with a video of the same surfacing on social media.

Team India delivered a dominant performance to back Bangladesh into a corner on day 2 of the Test after being bowled out for 376. With Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja performing a sensational rescue act after the hosts slipped to 144-6 at one stage, the hosts amassed a mammoth total. Later, Jasprit Bumrah stood out with the ball, bagging four scalps, while Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, and Jadeja took a couple each.

As far as the Team India skipper's batting goes, the 37-year-old managed scores of 6 and 5 as Hasan Mahmud and Taskin Ahmed got the better of him in the first and second innings, respectively. At the end of day 2, India held a lead of 308 despite losing Rohit, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Virat Kohli.

Shubman Gill (33*) and Rishabh Pant (12*) will resume the proceedings for their side as they look to push the lead to over 400. India are also at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) standings, having won six matches out of nine.
