Shreyanka Patil Ruled Out Of WPL 2025; RCB Signs Sneh Rana As Replacement
Shreyanka has played 15 matches for RCB, taking 19 wickets. She had a remarkable WPL 2024, winning the Purple Cap and claiming four wickets in the final against Delhi Capitals.

Ahead of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has signed Sneh Rana as a replacement for Shreyanka Patil for the remainder of the tournament for ₹ 30 Lakhs. Shreyanka, a key bowler for RCB, has been ruled out due to an injury.
Shreyanka has played 15 matches for RCB, taking 19 wickets. She had a remarkable WPL 2024, winning the Purple Cap and claiming four wickets in the final against Delhi Capitals.
However, injuries have hampered her career, including a finger injury last season and another setback during the Women’s Asia Cup against Pakistan, forcing her to miss the rest of the tournament.

Sneh Rana, an experienced all-rounder, previously played for Gujarat Giants in WPL. Despite going unsold in the auction this season, she has now joined RCB for INR 30 lakh. So far in WPL, Rana has played 12 matches, scoring 47 runs at an average of 6.71 and taking six wickets with an economy of 9.02.
Meanwhile, RCB made a strong start to their WPL 2025 campaign with a record-breaking run chase against Gujarat Giants in Vadodara. Ellyse Perry led the charge with a half-century, while impressive performances from Richa Ghosh and Kanika Ahuja helped RCB secure victory in their opening match.
