Tennis legend Serena Williams traded her racket for dance moves as she lit up the Super Bowl halftime show alongside Kendrick Lamar. During Lamar’s electrifying performance, Williams was briefly spotted on the big screen, grooving to 'Not Like Us'. Her energetic presence didn’t go unnoticed, as the NFL highlighted her moment on social media, sharing a post on their official X account.

Williams later took to her own X account to share a video of her appearance, adding to the buzz surrounding the show. What made her cameo even more intriguing was the song choice 'Not Like Us' is widely recognized as a diss track aimed at rapper Drake.

Serena Williams takes dig at Drake

Her participation in the song was especially significant, given past rumors linking her romantically to Drake in the early 2010s. Back in 2015, rumors circulated about a potential romance between Serena Williams and Drake. The rapper often mentioned Williams in his lyrics and was frequently seen supporting her from the stands at various tennis tournaments.

Speculation intensified when TMZ published photos of the two dining together at a Cincinnati restaurant following Williams’ victory at the Western & Southern Open. Despite the buzz, neither Williams nor Drake publicly confirmed a relationship, and the rumors eventually faded.

Williams later found love elsewhere, marrying Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in 2017. The couple has since built a life together and now shares a child.

However, in 2022, Drake reignited controversy by taking a shot at Ohanian in his song 'Middle of the Ocean' from the album 'Her Loss'. In the lyrics, he rapped: '“Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie / He claim we don’t got a problem but / No boo, it is like you coming for sushi.”

Ohanian didn’t stay silent, responding on Twitter with a confident clapback: “The reason I stay winning is because I’m relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do—including being the best groupie for my wife [and] daughter.”

This isn’t the first time Williams has danced to the track; she previously danced to it at the 2024 ESPY Awards while playful jabbing at the rapper.
