Saudi Arabian GP: Max Verstappen Wins 2nd Race Of Season To Complete 100 Podiums, Olliver Bearman Impresses On Debut

Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen registered his second successive win of the season as he led from pole to finish at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2024 in Jeddah on Saturday night.

The defending world champion finished over 13 seconds ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez and Scuderia Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

Red Bull's dominance continues as they clinch the top two podium spots for the second race in a row, signaling a formidable challenge for the rest of the field.

While Leclerc set the fastest lap, it was his rookie teammate Oliver Bearman who impressed with a strong seventh-place finish in his F1 debut, showcasing remarkable race pace.

Bearman stepped in for Carlos Sainz at Ferrari after the latter was sidelined due to appendicitis diagnosed earlier on Friday.

Despite his rookie status, Bearman secured six points with a stellar performance, executing several overtakes throughout the race.

He led the British contingent with Lando Norris (McLaren) finishing in eighth place ahead of Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes AMG) in ninth.

Both Norris and Hamilton extended their opening stints on the medium tire before making pit stops in the latter half of the race.
