Recently, Parag spoke about the incident for the first time, revealing that it happened before IPL 2024, but only gained widespread attention afterward.

Rajasthan Royals are one of the three teams in the IPL 2025 that have chosen to play their home games in multiple venues alongside Delhi Capitals (Visakhapatnam) and Punjab Kings (Dharamshala).

They have been playing two matches every season at Guwahati since the 2023 campaign when the home-away format returned post three seasons during the COVID-19 pandemic when the league was playing in a bubble. RR were first scheduled to play their first-ever IPL match in Guwahati in 2020 before the league was postponed and shifted to the UAE.
