MSSA Football: Yohaan Kapadia Nets Brace In St. Mary's, Mazgaon Victory

St. Mary's ICSE Mazgaon Holy Family 'A' Andheri 5-2 in the Boys Under-16 Division I Group A clash of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) football tournament at Wings Sports Centre Bandra on Friday. Yohaan Kapadia scored a brace for St. Mary's school to give them firm grip over the match.

Mohd Wireman opened the scoring for St. Mary's and from there Yohaan took over by netting two consecutive goals. He had also role in the fourth goal as Holy Family goalkeeper Seyon Caaellino conceded an own goal. Rohan Chainani scored the fifth goal. For Holy Family skipper Aisten Chacko scored both the goals but his effort wasn't enough for his side.

Bombay Scottish Mahim and St. Dominic Savio Andheri played a goalless stalemate in another match of the same group.

St. Xavier's Mira Road edged past Holy Cross Convent Mira Road 1-0 in the Girls Under-16 Division I Group D clash. Inaaya Qureshi's goal was the difference between the two sides. VCW Arya Vidya Mandir defeated Thakur Public Kandivali in the Group A match. Tanishka Mhashal opened the scoring for AVM school while Ira Deshmukh doubled the lead. Charvi Kothari had earlier given Thakur Public School early lead but they couldn't hold on to the advantage and conceded two goals to end up on the losing side.
