MSSA Athletics: Children's Academy's Ved Pujari Creates New Meet Record
The athlete from Malad School won gold in the Boys Under-14 High Jump (1.73 metres) in the Annual Inter School Athletics Tournament

Ved Pujari of Children’s Academy, Bachani Nagar (Malad) created a new meet record in the Boys Under-14 High Jump by jumping 1.73 metres in the Dream Sports MSSA 131st Annual Inter School Athletics Tournament 2025-2026 at Priyadarshini Park, Malabar Hill on Saturday. He broke the previous meet record of Nikhil Shetty of St. Lawrence High School Ashanagar (Kandivali), who was 1.72 metres airborne in 2012. Pujari's dominance was clear as Ryley Lobo of Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, who came second covered 1.50 metres. Pujari's schoolmate Daksh Patel came close third with 1.50 metres.
Children Academy enjoyed a good day as Jeevesh Shelar bagged double gold in the Boys Under-14 Shot Put and Javelin events. Shaurya Singh came second in Javelin throw to maintain dominance from Children Academy.
Bryan Patel also won gold in the Boys Under-16 Triple Jump, covering a distance of 12.12 metres.
Rikhav Gala won silver in Boys Under-16 High Jump by jumping 1.60 metres as Vihaan Shetty of Vasant Vihar High School Thane (West) won gold with 1.65 metres.
In the Boy's Under-16 Shot Put Children's Academy boys Aarya Tiwar and Bhavya Solanki won silver and bronze respectively. Pranav Khedkar of Thane Police School won gold. Jiveeka Sonagra won bronze in Girls U-16 Long Jump event.
