Mallorca's mid-fielder Jan Salas was seen pushing FC Barcelona's prodigy Lamine Yamal during their La Liga bout on Saturday at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix Stadium in Spain. In a video surfaced on social media, Salas violently pushed Yamal as players from both sides joined in the scene, with tensions flaring increasingly.
The incident occurred during the added four minutes after the full time when FC Barcelona were firmly ahead with two goals against their name. A misunderstanding seemed to have taken place between Salas and Yamal as both came face to face, signalling a heated exchange. Salas then pushed Yamal as their respective teammates separated them to prevent the situation from escalating.

The heated exchange between Yamal and Salas hardly deterred the former from his motive of achieving the goal as he put the ball into the target in the extra time. The teenage prodigy had set up the first goal of Barcelona for Raphinha to hit, while the second was netted by Ferran Torres in the 23rd minute. As a result, Barcelona kicked their campaign off with a commanding 3-0 victory.
"Lamine is a special player and everyone can see it" - Hansi Flick
FC Barcelona's manager Hansi Flick heaped praise on Yamal for his willingness to be in the scheme of things consistently. He stated, as quoted by Barca Blaugranes.com:
"As I’ve said before, he always wants to play well and help the team. Lamine is a special player and everyone can see it. From what I see in training, he is very motivated. In matches, he also fights and defends. I’m very happy for him."
Barcelona will next face Levante on August 24 at the Ciutat de València Stadium.
