Inglis, known for his aggressive batting style, took on LSG's fiery pacer Mayank Yadav, smashing three sixes in as many balls in a single over, much to the delight of the home crowd. Punjab Kings posted a mammoth total of 236/5 in their 20 overs, powered by a blistering innings from opener Prabhsimran Singh, who scored 91 runs off 48 balls, smashing 6 boundaries and 7 sixes. He was well supported by skipper Shreyas Iyer, who contributed a quickfire 45 off 25 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes, keeping the run rate high throughout the innings. Despite the high-scoring assault, Akash Singh emerged as the standout bowler for LSG, finishing with 2 wickets for 30 runs in his 4 overs, showing great control under pressure.
Chasing a steep target of 237, LSG put up a spirited fight but could only manage 199/7 in their 20 overs. Ayush Badoni played a brilliant knock of 74 off 40 balls, hitting 5 fours and 5 sixes, while Abdul Samad added firepower with 45 off 24 balls, including 2 fours and 4 sixes. However, Punjab's bowlers maintained their composure, with Arshdeep Singh leading the charge.
