Horse Racing, Mahalaxmi Racecourse: Redefined Best For Bangalore Derby

Redefined emerges as the overwhelming favourite for the prestigious HPSL Bangalore Derby, set to take place at the Bangalore Racecourse this Sunday. Trained by Prasanna Kumar, this top-class colt is expected to deliver his best and claim the Derby crown on the big day.

Top jockey Akshay Kumar, who will pilot Redefined in the classic mile-and-a-half journey, remains confident. He believes that despite a recent setback in training, the colt is fit and ready to rise to the occasion on Republic Day.

The Derby has created a buzz in racing and social circles alike. Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) Chairman Manjunath Ramesh emphasized that the track is in impeccable condition, promising an exciting spectacle. The event is expected to draw a full house, with railbirds and fashion enthusiasts turning out in their finest attire to cheer for their favourite contenders.

Adding to the excitement, the women's cheer brigade is rallying behind Magnetic, a promising horse from lady trainer Parvati Byramji's yard, hoping to see an upset over the favourite.

While Redefined will be making his first appearance of the season after his training setback, seasoned experts strongly back him as the prime contender. Many dismiss the chances of the two Mumbai raiders from champion trainer Pesi Shroff's yard, arguing that they lack the potential to pose a serious challenge in this high-class contest.
