Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper Pat Cummins and Royal Challengers Bengaluru star batter Virat Kohli engaged in a light-hearted banter during both teams' practice sessions ahead of their IPL 2024 clash at the Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, April 25.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns against each other for the second time in the ongoing IPL season. In their first encounter, SRH emerged victorious as they defeated RCB by 25 runs in their own backyard. It was in this match that SunRisers Hyderabad shattered the record for the highest total in IPL (287/3).

As SRH and RCB prepare for the much-anticipated clash, Pat Cummins and Virat Kohli had a small chat in the middle of the teams' practice sessions. In a viral video, Cummins was seen walking up to Kohli and shook hands with RCB batter and cheekily said, "I heard you saying I was making that wicket look flat."

In response, Virat Kohli complimented Cummins, saying, "“You are too good, Pat."

Sunrisers Hyderabad are having a brilliant campaign in the going IPL season. Pat Cummins-led side remained unbeaten in the last four matches against Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals. Under the leadership of Cummins, SRH emerged as the team with an aggressive approach in batting as well as fielding.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently at the third spot on the points table with 10 points after seven matches. The hosts will look to maintain their winning streak when they take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, on the other hand, have had a disappointing campaign thus far as they have managed to win only game out of 8 matches played so far. RCB are on seven-match winless streak and are staring at an early exit from the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.

RCB are currently at the bottom of the points table with just two points. Faf du Plessis-led will look to end their long streak when they lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderbad.

RCB's star batter Virat Kohli is currently the leading race for Orange Cap, with 379 runs, including a century and two fifties, at an average of 63.17 and 150.40 in 8 matches.
