Premal Mankar kept himself in line for double glory, entering the semifinals of the Professional singles and doubles in the G D Birla Memorial Masters Inter-Club Badminton Tournament, co-hosted by Bombay Gym and promoted by Badminton Gurukul, here, on Thursday.
In the singles, unseeded Mankar accounted for fourth seed Rajan Samant, ralling to win after dropping the opener 12-15, 18-16, 15-9. In the doubles, Mankar, seeded second, along with partner Pranit Bane defeated Amar Salvi and Vivek Yadav 16-14, 15-17, 15-13.
Top seed in the singles and doubles, Manoj Nachanekar also made two semi-finals, defeating Sanjay Golbare 15-6, 15-7 and then partnering with Rahul Bhuvad to get the better of Aatish Annapurne and Ravi Annapurne 13-15, 15-11, 15-10.
