Hasin Jahan demands more alimony
Just couple of days back Jahan has demanded at least a minimum of 10 lakhs in alimony per month after pointing towards Mohammed Shami's lifestyle. Speaking to PTI, she had said, "The lifestyle that Shami Ahmed lives ₹4 lakh is less. We had demanded ₹10 Lakh every month for seven years and four months back. Now that the cost of things has also increased, we will go for 'CAVEAT'."
The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday directed the Indian cricketer to pay ₹ 4 lakhs as limony (₹1.5 lakh to her wife and ₹2.5 lakh to her daughter). She added,"This order by Calcutta High Court is a huge win for me. While I respect the judgment by the court, i feel that as per Shami Ahmed's status, we should receive more money so that i can easily maintain my daughter's future."
The judge of the Calcutta High Court explained that the figure of ₹4 lakhs was decided considering Shami's earnings, his daughter's future, and the lifestyle his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, was enjoying before the two parted ways.
Mohammad Shami married Hasin Jahan in 2014, but the couple separated in 2018 when Jahan filed an FIR against her husband and family, alleging domestic violence and abuse.
