Brydon Carse Ruled Out Of England Vs Pakistan 2nd Test As Cricket Regulator Investigates Derby Nightclub Incident

England fast bowler Brydon Carse has been removed from the squad for the second Test against Pakistan after the Cricket Regulator confirmed it will investigate the nightclub incident in Derby which occurred on Saturday night. ECB released an official statement and said, "Brydon will be replaced in the squad for the match by Sonny Baker."

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) referred the matter to the Cricket Regulator after videos surfaced on social media showing Carse in handcuffs outside a nightclub in Derby. He was reportedly detained by the police but was not arrested or charged.

Carse was in Derby after playing for Durham against Derbyshire in the County Championship. He had been released by England after not being included in the playing XI for the first Test against Pakistan at Headingley. He was expected to return to the England squad ahead of the second Test at Lord's.

The ECB has now confirmed that Carse will not be available for selection for the second Test while the investigation is ongoing and the full facts are established. He has been replaced in the England squad by Sonny Baker.

The ECB said that the Cricket Regulator will investigate the events that took place in Derby on Saturday night. The board said Carse would remain unavailable for the second Test while the investigation continues.

The second Test between England and Pakistan is scheduled to begin at Lord's on Thursday (August 27) as England is leading the three-match series 1-0 after a big win in the opening Test at Headingley.
