BCCI To Come Under National Sports Governance Bill, Claims Report
The BCCI will be covered in the National Sports Governance Bill that is set to be introduced in Parliament on Wednesday, a sports ministry source said on Tuesday. The BCCI will be covered in the National Sports Governance Bill that is set to be introduced in Parliament on Wednesday, a sports ministry source said on Tuesday.

“Like all National federations, the BCCI will have to comply with the law of the land once this bill becomes an act,” the source of PTI said.

The sports governance bill seeks to institutionalise a strong framework for timely elections, administrative accountability and athlete welfare.
IPL makes up majority of income of BCCI in Financial year of 2024, makes ₹9,741 crore
Meanwhile, BCCI's earnings in the financial year of 2024 saw them make ₹9,741 as a report by Rediffusion stated that IPL contributed to 59% of them. As per the findings of the report by Rediffusion, IPL generated ₹5,761 during the period, asserting itself as the Indian cricket board's most significant revenue driver.
Furthermore, factors such as fan support, strategic partnerships and cricket-based performances have ensured that the BCCI has formulated a billion-rupee engine. The non-media IPL rights chips in a staggering ₹361 crore for the board. Despite the temporary suspension of IPL due to the India-Pakistan border conflict, analysts reported that the performance was still stable.
