With Pakistan cricket team losing a home Test to the West Indies for the first time after 1990, they are facing massive trolls, especially given the margin of defeat on day three at the Multan Cricket Stadium. While the hosts registered a massive win on a spinning track in the opening Test, the same backfired in the second game, inviting jibes from fans on social media.

The Caribbeans were 38/7 on the opening day of the second Test but dragged themselves to a competitive 163. Nevertheless, the home side failed to overhaul their total, conceding a nine-run lead. The West Indies dug in the second innings, led by Kraigg Brathwaite's half-century, followed by contributions from Amir Jangoo (30), Tevin Imlach (35) and Kevin Sinclair (28). The tourists were bowled out for 244 but set an imposing 254 for Pakistan to win on a treacherous surface.

The hosts had already crumbled to 76/4 late on day two as Kevin Sinclair took two wickets in the form of Shan Masood and Babar Azam. Sinclair also struck in the third over of day three to get the massive wicket of Saud Shakeel. While Sinclair grabbed three scalps, Gudakesh Motie finished with a couple. Nevertheless, the star of the show was Jomel Warrican, who snaffled figures of 16-4-27-5 as the tourists levelled the series 1-1 with a 120-run victory.

Below is how the netizens reacted to Pakistan's defeat:

"Even when we fail, there are a lot of learnings" - Shan Masood

Pakistan skipper Shan Masood admitted their performance wasn't up to the mark but refused to acknowledge they will once again request for changing pitches after this defeat. He explained:

"We've won three out of four Tests, but even in the game we've lost, on the first day we were in the position we wanted, even better maybe when we had them eight down. One bad performance can't have a domino effect. We still have to be brave and replicate conditions. Even when we fail, there are a lot of learnings. Now we realise as a team that one extra wicket, one extra partnership, can have a huge effect on the game."

With five wins and nine losses in the present WTC cycle, Masood and co. also finished at the bottom of the WTC table.
