'Attempts Made To Tarnish My Wife's Image': Ravindra Jadeja BREAKS Silence On Father 'Severing' Ties With Him & Rivaba

Team India and Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja dismissed his father, Anirudh Singh Jadeja's claims of having strained relationship with him and his wife  Rivaba Jadeja.

In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Jadeja's father revealed that he doesn't have any contact with his son and daughter-in-law. He also highlighted the rift after Ravindra Jadeja's marriage to Rivaba, leading to physical distance between them.

"Let me tell you the truth, I have no relation of any kind with Ravi (Ravindra Jadeja) or his wife Rivaba Jadeja. We don’t call them, and they don’t call us. Controversies started happening only after two-three months of Ravi’s marriage. At present, I live alone in Jamnagar, Ravindra lives separately,” Anirudh Singh Jadeja said.

Ravindra Jadeja's response to father's allegations

Ravindra Jadeja responded to his father's allegations on his strained relationship with son in an explosive interview. Taking to his X handle (formerly Twitter), the 35-year-old said that it is an attempt to tarnish the image of him and his wife. The all-rounder added that he got to many things to say but don't want to disclose in front of public eye.

"All the things mentioned in the Dainik Bhaskar interview is nonsense. It is completely meaningless and untrue. These are attempts made to tarnish my wife's image which are truly reprehensible. I also have a lot of things to say but don't say them publicly." Jadeja wrote.

Ravindra Jadeja married to Rivaba in closed wedding ceremony in April 2016. Two met at a party and Rivaba was happened to be Jadeja's sister friend Naina. Soon after marriage, things haven't been well between Rivaba and in-laws. there have been several reports about rift in Jadeja's family after the marriage. It has been reported that star all-rounder's father and sister doesn't keep any contact with his wife.

Ravindra Jadeja's father admitted that he regrets in getting his son married to Rivaba, adding that he wouldn't have faced such circumstances if he hadn't become cricketer. Anirudh Singh Jadeja also claimed that Rivaba asked to transfer the ownership of the hotel to her name within 3 months of marriage.

"He is my son, and it burns my heart. I wish I hadn't gotten him married. It would have been better if he hadn't become a cricketer. We would not have to go through all this in that case" Jadeja's father said.

"Within three months of the marriage, she told me that everything should be transferred to her name. She created a rift in our family. She didn't want the family and desired an independent life,"

"I could be wrong, and Naynaba (Ravindra's sister) could be wrong, but you tell me, how can all 50 members of our family be wrong? There's no relation with anyone in the family, there's just hate." he added.

Meanwhile, Rivaba Jadeja is a BJP MLA from Gujarat. She was elected to Gujarat Assembly after winning the state elections from Jamnagar North in December 2022.
