10th Mitsui Shoji T20 Cricket League: Shivaji Park Warriors Face Shock Defeat Against Thane Marathas

Shivaji Park Warriors today faced shocking defeat against Thane Marathas in the 10th Mitsui Shoji T20 Cricket League organised by Jwala Sports Foundation and MCC. At Police Gymkhana ground today Thane Marathas won the toss and asked Shivaji Park Warriors to bat first in the 17 overs a side game.
Warriors team was bowled out on 145 runs in 17 overs. Opener Varun Lavande scored quickfire 49 in just 20 balls with five fours and four sixes, with little contributions from Siddhant Singh (26), Dev Patel (18) and Ashray Sajnani (18). Off spinner Ajit Yadav bowled superbly taking 3 wickets for 18 runs. He was well supported by medium pacer Aditya Rane (3/35) and left arm spinner Divyansh Saxena (2/25).

While chasing this target Shashwat Jagtap (29) and Hriday Khandke (19) put together 54 runs for the second wicket for Thane Marathas. But after they depart they were tottering at 88/4 in 11 overs. Siddhant Adhatrao (32) and Chinmay Sutar (10) added vital 32 runs for the fifth wicket to give some stability and thereafter Vinay Kumar (23 not out) hit six on the last ball to steal the victory.
