As per the prediction by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune experienced a thunderstorm that brought severe thunder, strong winds, and lightning, disrupting normal life on Thursday on the second consecutive day. Even Tuesday saw very light showers in few parts of the city.

Punekars took to social media to put videos of the waterlogged streets in Pune in just One Hour Of Pre-Monsoon Rain.
City saw severe waterlogging and flooding last year too due to rains.
As per the prediction by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Pune experienced a thunderstorm that brought severe thunder, strong winds, and lightning, disrupting normal life on Thursday on second consecutive day. Even Tuesday saw very light showers in few parts of the city.
Many parts of the city like Sinhagad Road, Aundh, Pashan, Khadakwasla Hinjawadi, Wakad, Balewadi saw rainfall.
The IMD had also issued rainfall alert for the city and mentioned that this trend will continue for seven days.

As soon as the rain intensified, Punekars flooded social media with visuals of the rain from Hinjawadi, Shivajinagar, Kharadi, Katraj, among other areas.
Even after the regular issues caused by the rain, Punekars expressed happiness over the respite from the rising temperatures in the city.
Lately, the temperatures in the city were rising and touching 40 degrees Celsius. Areas like Koregaon Park, Lohegaon, Shirur, and Chinchwad have seen temperatures crossing 40 degrees Celsius multiple times.
