NCP-SP leader Rohini Khadse on Monday finally broke her silence after her husband Pranjal Khewalkar’s arrest in the Pune rave party case.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Khadse wrote, "I have full faith in the law and the police system. Time is the answer to everything. The truth will come out at the right time! Jai Maharashtra!"
Khewalkar’s father-in-law and former Maharashtra minister, Eknath Khadse, said he would not defend his son-in-law if he was involved, "but won't spare anybody if he is found to be falsely implicated." "I hope Pune police investigate the matter with complete transparency and honesty," he added.
Khewalkar and six others, including Nikhil Poptani, Sameer Sayyad, Sachin Bhombe, Shreepad Yadav, Isha Singh, and Prachi Sharma, have been remanded to police custody till July 29 by a local court in Pune.
Pune Police's Crime Branch carried out the raid at a studio apartment located in the upscale Kharadi area at around 3:30am on Sunday, based on a tip-off about a rave party.
According to Pune Police, narcotic substances and other items worth ₹41.34 lakh were seized. The seized items include cocaine, marijuana (ganja), 10 mobile phones, two four-wheelers, hookah pots and beer bottles.

Officials added that 100 grams of marijuana and 2.07 grams of cocaine — classified as intermediate quantities — were found in possession of the accused.
Meanwhile, advocate Vijay Thombre, representing Khewalkar, refuted the charges levelled against his client and claimed he had been falsely implicated.

Thombre told the court that Khewalkar had been stalked on two previous occasions by police. The current case appears to be a deliberate attempt to frame his client, the advocate further contended. Khewalkar does not consume drugs and is a victim of a political malaise, Thombre told the court.
After hearing both sides, the judge remanded all seven accused to police custody till July 29.
