The transport department will soon implement the 'Rah-Veer' scheme. Under this scheme, the department will give Rs 25,000 as a reward to those who help victims of road accidents.
For each district, a committee will be formed by the District Collector, which will be headed by him. Accordingly, the transport department will provide the fund.
This scheme aims to encourage people to come forward to help each other and to ensure that accident victims get immediate medical treatment.

Many times, injured persons lose their lives due to a lack of timely treatment. The Rah-Veer scheme will encourage people to provide immediate help and relief work. Regarding the scheme, a letter has recently been issued by the Transport Commissioner's Office, Mumbai, and the Pune District Collectors.
How will the scheme work?
A committee will be formed in each district under the chairmanship of the District Collector, which will select the members of the committee. Also, there will be a monitoring committee at the state level, which will monitor the functioning of this scheme.
RTO officer Archana Gaikwad said, "The scheme is very commendable. It will motivate people to help injured persons in road accidents, and many lives could be saved with immediate medical treatment. The scheme will be implemented soon, and people should join hands to participate."
