A shocking incident of a brutal attack came to light from the Khadak Police Station jurisdiction, where a man, along with his family, was beaten by another group over a bike honking dispute. The incident took place at Gurunanak Nagar, Kashiwadi, in Bhawani Peth around 4pm on Sunday.
The accused have been identified as Shoaib Umar Saiyyad and five other residents of Kashiwadi.

According to police information, the victim, Harsh Keshwani, and the accused, Shoaib, are residents of the same colony. The dispute arose over bike honking and road encroachment due to parked vehicles. After the bike horn, Shoaib started beating the victim, resulting in serious injuries to his nose.

Shashikant Chavan, Senior Police Inspector of Khadak Police Station, speaking to The Free Press Journal, said, "We have detained the main accused, Shoaib, and the others will be arrested soon. At the initial stage, the dispute arose over the honking. However, the matter is under investigation, and action will be taken accordingly."
The victim's brother, Karan Keshwani, speaking to this newspaper, said, "My younger brother was coming home to Gurunanak Nagar. Both sides of the road had vehicles parked. Meanwhile, the accused, Shoaib, had parked his auto-rickshaw on the road and was unloading some materials. Due to the traffic block, Harsh honked and requested him to unblock the road."
"Due to the traffic jam, other vehicles also started honking to move forward. Accused Shoaib, angered by the honking, started an argument with Harsh. Later, the argument turned into a physical altercation, leading to bleeding from his nose," he said.

"The accused's homes are nearby. They later came in a group and started pelting stones and other objects at us and our home, causing serious injuries. We have filed a complaint at Khadak Police Station," he added.
Regarding the matter, a complaint has been registered at Khadak Police Station under the relevant sections of the BNS.
