In a recent incident in Karad's Talbid village, a leopard jumped into a well on a farm while searching for water but became trapped as it couldn't find a way out. However, after a five-hour-long operation, it was rescued by the forest department.
According to the information received, the leopard was discovered trapped when the farmer visited his farm around 11am on Friday. A large crowd gathered near the well, and the forest department was notified. A rescue team was dispatched, and they attempted to lure the leopard into a cage placed inside the well. Despite its initial resistance, the frightened leopard was eventually rescued. However, it freed itself and fled soon after.
Unfortunately, the wild cat sustained severe injuries during its fall into the well and subsequent attempts to escape. With the animal now out of sight, concerns about its survival have heightened.
