Pune: Honey Singh Concert Postponed To April 18 Due To Rain & Thunderstorms, Following Government Advisory

Pune: Fans in the city will have to wait longer to see Yo Yo Honey Singh perform, as his concert scheduled for April 4, 2026, has been postponed due to expected rain and thunderstorms.

The singer took to his Instagram to share the update about the concert. He said the show, which was completely sold out, will now take place on April 18, 2026. He added that the decision was made following a government advisory warning of bad weather.

Honey Singh said fan safety is his top priority. He assured that all tickets bought for the original date will remain valid for the new show. Fans will not need to make any changes.

He also shared the government’s press note along with his post to explain the reason behind the postponement. He expressed excitement about performing in Pune and asked fans to wait a little longer.

Meanwhile, the concert has also come under scrutiny. Pune district child protection officer Mangesh Jadhav has written to Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, raising concerns over the content of Honey Singh’s songs. In his letter, Jadhav alleged that some songs promote alcohol, drugs, and gun culture, and may negatively impact minors attending the event. He urged the police to ensure the programme remains appropriate and socially responsible.

The letter was sent after a complaint to the Maharashtra Women and Child Development Department. It also referred to the singer’s Mumbai show on March 28, where he allegedly used vulgar language during his performance. In a related development, the Delhi High Court recently took strong objection to a “vulgar” and “derogatory” song allegedly released by Honey Singh and Badshah and ordered its removal from online platforms.

The update comes amid unseasonal rain and thunderstorm alerts in the region, which have already disrupted normal life in the city.
