PHOTOS: Kalyani Nagar Women Tie Rakhis To Yerawada Police Officials Ahead Of Raksha Bandhan

Kalyani Nagar residents on Monday felicitated Yerawada Police Senior PI Ravindra Shelke and API Dinesh Patil for their prompt and consistent response, particularly through helpline 112, where the average response time has been around 15 minutes.

The police have been proactively addressing community concerns like noise pollution and other civic issues, and residents have observed a marked improvement in response and coordination from the Yerawada police team.

As a heartfelt gesture, residents also tied rakhis to the police personnel, symbolising trust, gratitude and the spirit of protection.

This initiative was aimed at appreciating their service and further strengthening the bond between the community and the police force.

"As a long-time resident of Kalyani Nagar, I can confidently say we’ve seen a noticeable and positive shift in our neighbourhood since Senior PI Ravindra Shelke took charge at Yerawada Police Station. There has been a significant reduction in noise pollution and better coordination with local authorities. API Dinesh Patil has been extremely approachable, and the police response on helpline 112 is now impressively swift, usually within 15 minutes. Today, we had the honour of felicitating the police team as a gesture of gratitude. Tying rakhis to them was not just symbolic; it truly represents the bond of trust, respect and mutual commitment between the citizens and the police. We are grateful to the entire Yerawada Police Department for their tireless service, being available day and night to ensure our safety. It was a proud moment for all of us today. We hope to continue nurturing this strong, collaborative relationship between the residents and our dedicated police force," said Monica Sharma, a Kalyani Nagar resident.
