Nashik: 2,421 Teacher Posts To Be Filled In Maharashtra Ashram Schools Through Pavitra Portal

Nashik: A major recruitment drive has commenced to fill vacant teaching positions in government Ashram schools under the jurisdiction of the Maharashtra Government's Tribal Development Department. A total of 2,421 Class-3 posts (Shikshan Sevak/Trainee Teacher) across primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels will be filled through the ‘Pavitra’ portal. This recruitment drive represents a golden opportunity for thousands of eligible candidates across the state.

The recruitment process will be implemented across all four divisions of the Tribal Development Department: Nashik, Thane, Amravati, and Nagpur. The Nashik division has the highest number of vacancies at 826, followed by Thane (613), Nagpur (514), and Amravati (468).

This includes 885 posts in PESA areas and 1,536 posts in non-PESA areas. For primary teacher posts (Marathi medium), there are 862 vacancies in non-PESA areas and 436 in PESA areas. For English-medium primary teachers, there are 67 posts in PESA areas and 161 in non-PESA areas. Secondary teacher posts (Marathi medium) comprise 352 vacancies in non-PESA areas and 138 in PESA areas. For English-medium secondary teachers, there are 5 posts in PESA areas and 22 in non-PESA areas. A total of 357 posts (251 in PESA and 106 in non-PESA areas) are available for higher secondary teachers, covering subjects such as Marathi, English, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Appeal by the Tribal Development Commissioner

A clear distinction has been made between PESA and non-PESA areas to ensure fairness for candidates from local and tribal regions during the Ashram school teacher recruitment process. This entire process is being conducted transparently through the ‘Pavitra’ portal, based on merit and in accordance with the rules. Tribal Development Commissioner Leena Bansod has clarified that candidates should not believe in rumours.
