In good news for Punekars, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has extended the deadline for paying property tax at discounted rates to July 7. The earlier deadline was June 30.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Prithviraj BP said the deadline was pushed forward as the website crashed. "The PMC property tax website had technical issues due to a large number of citizens rushing to pay the tax on the last day of availing the discount and avoiding penalties. Hence, we have extended the deadline to July 7."

Meanwhile, till June 30, the PMC collected ₹1,244.5 crore in property tax as against the estimated target of ₹2,500 crore for 2025–26.
There are 14.43 lakh registered properties in the PMC limits, and so far, 7.10 lakh have paid their taxes.
