CNG Car Reduced To Ashes On Dhule–Solapur Highway, Cause Under Investigation |

A running car suddenly caught fire near Chaitanya Heritage in the Kasabkheda area on the Dhule–Solapur Highway on Thursday afternoon. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident, but the car was reduced to ashes.

Kunal Vasudeo Laad (Cidco, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) was going in his car (MH21 CA 6655) towards Kannad. However, he smelled something burning in the car and immediately stopped the vehicle alongside the road near Chaitanya Heritage near Kasabkheda. The car suddenly caught fire, and Laad immediately came out of it. He tried to extinguish the fire, but the car had already caught flames by then.

On receiving the information, API Vidya Zirpe, PSI Ramesh Sangale, Ramesh Dhas, Vikas Chandanse, Dharamsingh Bimrod, Vigade, Sharad Dalvi, and others rushed to the spot. The fire brigade was called, and the fire was brought under control. Commuters had gathered to see the fire incident, and traffic was jammed. The police cleared the road and regularized the traffic. The incident has been registered with the Sillegaon police station.
