A man met a watery grave while attempting to save his son, who had fallen into a farm lake. His son was saved, but the man died in the lake. The incident occurred in Pal village in Phulambri taluka on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Kishor Tajrao Jadhav.
According to the details, Kishor’s son Nilesh (15) had gone to the farm in the afternoon at around 3 pm. He entered the farm lake and began drowning. His father Kishor, who was working nearby, heard his screams and immediately jumped into the lake. Both of them were drowning. Kishor's nephew Vishal also jumped into the lake and saved Nilesh, but he could not save Kishor, who met a watery grave.
On receiving the information, PI Sanjay Sahane and fire brigade officers rushed to the spot and retrieved Kishor from the lake. He was rushed to the Phulambri Rural Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The last rites were performed in the evening. Kishor is survived by his parents, wife, and two children.
