Caught On Camera: Senior Citizen Crushed To Death By Car After Bike Skids in Pune’s Aundh | Video Screengrab

In a shocking incident in Pune's Aundh, a senior citizen tragically lost his life after being run over by a car when his bike skidded on the road. The entire episode was captured on CCTV.

According to the information received, the accident took place in front of Hotel Rahul in Aundh on July 30 at 1pm. The deceased has been identified as Jagannath Kashinath Kale (61).

As seen in the video, Kale was on a bike when it skidded due to a pothole formed between the road and the paving block. The car, which was coming from behind, was not really fast. However, the driver did not get time to stop as Kale suddenly came under his car. People immediately came to help Kale, and he was rushed to a hospital. However, he died during treatment.

Recently, another such accident took place in Pune's Chakan. A 32-year-old Human Resources executive was killed after the motorcycle he had taken a lift on skidded while attempting to overtake a truck.

The deceased, identified as Gajanan Bolkekar, worked as an HR-Admin executive with a private firm in the Chakan MIDC. According to police, Bolkekar was running late for work and had requested a lift from a motorcyclist.

As per officials, the incident occurred when the two-wheeler tried to overtake a truck from the left side. The motorcycle skidded, causing Bolkekar, who was riding pillion, to fall off and come under the wheels of the truck following behind. He died on the spot. The rider sustained only minor injuries.

A video of this incident went viral on social media.
