Beware While Speeding On Mumbai-Pune-Satara Highway: Check Locations Of 19 New Speed Cameras Installed From Narhe Bridge To Lonavala To Adoshi Tunnel

To tackle the rising number of accidents on the Mumbai-Satara Highway, the authorities have installed 19 new speed cameras at accident-prone spots along the route. These cameras aim to monitor and penalise speeding drivers, thereby reducing the frequency of accidents on this critical highway.

Despite existing speed limits, frequent violations have led to numerous accidents, prompting the Regional Transport Department to conduct a survey. The findings highlighted the need for stricter enforcement, resulting in the installation of these cameras at key locations known for high accident rates.

Heavy fines have also been imposed on both private and government vehicles, including State Transport (ST) buses, for speeding violations. The ST department has been informed about the new camera locations to ensure compliance across all vehicles.
