In view of Ashadhi Wari, Pune authorities have issued a request to temporarily shut down non-vegetarian hotels, fish markets, slaughterhouses, and liquor shops along the Palkhi routes.

The Ashadhi Wari is the most revered annual religious pilgrimage, and local cooperation is considered essential to uphold its sanctity and ensure a peaceful experience for all devotees.
Pune Rural Police has prepared all necessary plans for the smooth flow of traffic and ensures the safety of Warkaris.
It will apply to the following closed roads on the following days.

Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s Palkhi will go via Pune – Saswad – Lonand to Pandharpur.
Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s Palkhi will go via Pune – Solapur Road, Roti Ghat – Baramati – Indapur – Akluj to Pandharpur.
Since the processions will cause heavy traffic on these roads, regular traffic will be diverted to other roads during this period.
